Yesterday's Air

Ride the Backroads of Memory

A free weekly newsletter about the smell of gasoline, pine trees, and the America that used to be.

Written by me, Bob Evans

Veteran. Wanderer. Candle Maker.
And yes, I did name my Harley.

What is Yesterday’s Air?

Yesterday’s Air is a weekly email newsletter filled with true stories from the road.

From 1984 to 1994, I crisscrossed the country on an emerald green 1983 Harley-Davidson Sportster named Daisy. No GPS. No plan. Just two-lane highways, the occasional diner, and whatever the wind carried my way.

Each issue drops you into one of those memories—thick with the scent of diesel and summer rain, the low hum of an idling bike, and the kind of quiet you only find 50 miles from the nearest billboard.
